Miami Dental Restoration Bridge

Miami Dental Restoration Bridge

Miami Dental Restoration BridgeA bridge is a dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is typically made of porcelain fused to a high-precious metal, such as gold. Whenever possible, an all-porcelain material fused to a white-colored, high strength core is chosen for greater esthetics. Technically, the teeth on either side of the missing tooth, or teeth, are reduced in size in order to receive the restoration. In essence, these anchor teeth need to have optimal bone support required to sustain this bridge long term… much like the foundation of a building is required to keep it from imploding. Although an excellent option, it should be considered second to a dental implant as an option for replacing missing teeth.

Advantages of Bridges:

  • Not removable
  • Cosmetically pleasing

Disadvantages of Bridges:

  • Relatively High Fee
  • Does not allow flossing between teeth in the bridge
  • Requires reduction of teeth on either side of the space
  • Requires more than one appointment

Please contact Dr. Dargham and her team to schedule your initial consultation. For your convenience, Dr. Dargham welcomes patients in one of two locations (Coconut Grove Dental Clinic and Biscayne Blvd. Dental Clinic), both located in the heart of Miami Dade County.
